Missouri Driver's License: 15 to 18 Years Old

There's no shortcut in getting a driver's license in Missouri especially if you are within 15 to 18 years old. You need to undergo the Graduated Licensing (GDL) program before you can have a license with full privilege. The steps in the program also come along with your age. Simply put, as you age, you are also climbing up the ladder until you reach the Full Driver License level. This was implemented by the state of Missouri to equip young drivers with the basic skills in driving, without putting them or other drivers in danger. Essentially, there are three steps an aspiring driver has to undergone: Instruction permit, Intermediate license, and Full Driver license.
The first thing that you will have to do is achieve an instruction permit. In order to get one, you should pass the written test, road sign test, and vision test. The written test is composed of items coming from the DMV handbook. So, if you have studied the handbook from cover to cover, you might pass the test easily. However, it is important to note that 70% of the first time test-takers failed the test.
As a tip to pass the written test and road test, you should take the DMV practice test as frequent as you can. It can help you sort the relevant things in the handbook that most likely will come out in the actual test. Also, it can practice the capacity of your brain to memorize important information.
After having the instruction permit, you will need at least 182 days before you can proceed to the next step. Also, within those days, you should include practice driving to your priorities. You should also have no Driving under the Influence (DUI) related violations and traffic convictions for the last 12 months. Apart from that, a 40-hour driving instruction with a minimum of 10 hours nigh driving with a qualified person is required.
If you are 16 years old and have religiously followed all the restrictions in the previous stage, you are qualified to apply for Intermediate license. At his stage, you can take the road test that is a requirement for the final stage. And although this is the second stage, there are a lot of restrictions that has to be followed. For instance, driving with a passenger who is under 19 years old and not a member of your immediate family.
