Niche Marketing: 3 Top Reasons Why You Must Identify Your Niche Market

You are now an online entrepreneur. You have a business online. You have your blog set up and now you know exactly what to put on your blog and how to make it interesting and exciting for your users.
Your online business is up and running once you start posting but unfortunately that is not all there is to it! You have to do a few more things for readers to find you.
Many make the mistake by thinking that they simply but up a blog, write some posts, people will find them and they'll make a lot of money but not yet... not so fast.
Since you are just starting out, it's really worthwhile to take some time to figure out exactly who you'll be marketing to. Who is your target market?
This is CRUCIAL.
You cannot be marketing your products and services to any and everybody. Your sole objective is to be getting targeted traffic.
When I first started out in affiliate marketing, I knew exactly who I wanted to target. When I looked at the stats of people visiting my blog, there weren't anything to shout about at all at the beginning.
But here's the thing I was, and still am, converting at about 45%. So it didn't matter that that I didn't have loads of people coming to my blog.
Quite frankly the only thing I did was article marketing at the time because I wasn't too tech savvy and I thought that was the easiest thing for me to do and I did it.
The point is that I didn't need a boat load of people coming to my site. I just needed the exact type of people I wanted to target and solutions to their problems.
They bought what I had to offer.
That right there is the reason why you have to become laser focused on a target market.
Here are the top three reasons why you must identify a target audience:
1. Targeted visitors/traffic to your website mean higher conversions
I just explained that above with my story. When I finally understood that I stopped quibbling about getting more traffic.
I didn't want more traffic if they weren't interested in finding a real solution to a problem. I didn't want people who just stumbled onto my site because they were bored. I wanted people who were really interested in what I had to say and what I had to offer. Those are the laser targeted types of visitors you want on your site!
2. Helps you to identify exactly the type of material you want to produce on your blog daily.
You know that in order for you to bring consistent readers to your blog and get the search engines to crawl and index your blog faster, you have to keep writing on or at least updated your site daily with quality content.
Often people say that they struggle to find topics to blog on daily. If you have identified a topic and niche, you will never run out of things to blog about or various and creative ways that you convey what you have to say to your readers.
3. Helps to develop your brand
This has everything to do with what you and your business stands for. When people come to your site and sign up, what is it that they hope to find or expect? What can people expect from your business?
If they want a particular type of information then they know that to find it, they go to you and your site. They know that you have the product or service that they are looking for.
These are the top three reasons for identifying a niche market or target audience for your business and then providing that audience with value in each any every post.
